1. When I heard this story, I am so sad about my father and very thankful for my friend. I cried a long time, when he called I didn't reach in time. I saw my friend, so many times I said " thank you". At that time I was so angry at the personal office people. I complained this matter to my commanding officer. All these emotions happened, when it was my father death time, I didn't reach in time to be at his bed side.
2. The young Marine said "I figured he really needed me."
The young marine knows about his father's love that's why, when he heard about his father's hospitalization without any enquire and reached the spot. When he reached the bed side, he understood he is not his real father . But he remembered his own father and he decided to sit down and to give love, affection and care to him. The young marine is the model of humanitarian love, sympathy and affection to other human beings. So he said "I figured he really needed me."
