A summary is the reduction large amount (quantity) of information and essay to its main important points.The length and kind of summary depends on one's own purpose. Summaries are created to the main idea and supporting details.The general guide line of a summary is a paragraph to one or two sentences, an article is reduced to a paragraph and a chapter of the book reduced to two or three pages.One of the most common types of summaries are when taking notes from the textbook. All summaries need major and minor supporting details. If we have more examples we need to select the most clear example with supporting details. That example is brief. When we write text book summary, we write down the definition and summarize examples. Write Major supporting details and minor supporting details.
